REMOVAL FROM UCEPROTECT-NETWORK First it is necessary to know if only your IP address or a complete netblock or your whole provider is blacklisted. (on which Level a listing persists) If you are an innocent user you should read this section !!! If the netblock with your IP address inside is listed as Level 2 or your provider is listed at Level 3, and you do not own the complete IP block or you are not the provider itself, this is a good indicator that you are an innocent user. This means that other customers of your service provider, or even your service provider themselves, caused that listing by regular abuse. You NEVER sent spam? - Your system was NEVER an OPEN RELAY or an OPEN PROXY? Your system was never infected by viruses / worms??? This means your service provider’s netblock is blacklisted because someone else abused it for spamming or for the spreading viruses / worms in recent days!!! It makes no sense for you to try to fix your service provider’s problems. We recommend you do following: Send a complaint to your service provider and request him/her to stop any
kind of abuse inside his/her netblock. If every service provider implemented our 4 preventive steps against abusers, no spam nor virus problem would exist in the world. |
