Download using WGET

If you are running your own email server and you cannot use RSYNC for any reason, you can probably use WGET, which should already exist on most LINUX or UNIX distributions.

Wget is not the primary choice because you always have to download a complete file, whereas RSYNC would just synchronize the difference [incremental].

Simply write a small script and start it e.g. by a cron job every hour.
All files available for WGET can be found on: http://wget-mirrors.uceprotect.net.

We recommend that you start the cron job some minutes after the hour so preventing too many people downloading at the same time ...
